Special Issue Information

The integration of single-cell and multi-omics technologies has revolutionized biological research, enabling unprecedented resolution in dissecting cellular heterogeneity and complex biological systems. In neuroscience, these approaches are pivotal for constructing comprehensive brain cell atlases, decoding disease mechanisms, and advancing precision medicine. This special issue highlights cutting-edge methodologies in single-cell and multi-omics analysis, emphasizing their transformative impact on understanding brain function and pathology across diverse neurological conditions.

This special issue focuses on advancing brain cell atlases through single-cell and multi-omics integration to decode neural heterogeneity and disease mechanisms. We prioritize:

Neuro-specific technologies: Single-cell RNA/ATAC/proteomics, spatial transcriptomics in cortical/hippocampal regions.

Translational impact: Multi-omics biomarker discovery for Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, and ALS; AI-driven therapeutic target identification.

Technical innovation: Cross-omics data harmonization, open-source tools (e.g., NeuroOmics Toolkit), and ethical frameworks for brain organoids.
