Article Processing Charges
AccScience Publishing is committed to providing immediate open access to all published articles. To support this, an article processing charge (APC) is levied to cover the costs of online editorial tools, article production and hosting, indexing liaison, and author and reader support. The APC is charged solely to support open access publication and does not influence editorial decisions. The APC is payable by authors, their funders, institutions, or employers upon editorial acceptance of their manuscript and prior to publication.
APC Waiver and Discount Policy
The APC for AccScience Publishing varies by journal, typically ranging from USD 800 to USD 3,000 (excluding taxes). The applicable APC for each journal is clearly indicated on its respective website.
APC rates are periodically reviewed and are subject to change. Authors will be charged the rate in effect at the time of manuscript acceptance.

To promote equitable open-access publishing, corresponding authors affiliated with institutions in low- and middle-income countries and regions may be eligible for an APC waiver or discount. Eligibility criteria may differ among journals; authors are advised to consult the relevant journal office for details. The publisher reserves the right to make the final determination of eligibility.
Full lists of eligible countries and regions are provided under each sub-section below.
Certain journals may offer additional waiver programmes at the discretion of their editors; authors are welcome to enquire directly with the relevant editorial office.

APC Invoice and Payment Notification
Following manuscript acceptance, an APC invoice will be issued to the corresponding author. Publication will be scheduled only after full payment has been received. Payment of the APC has no bearing on editorial decisions, which are made independently of financial considerations.
Payment Deadline
Authors are required to complete APC payment by the invoice due date, generally within 14 days of issuance. Invoices are typically addressed to the corresponding author. If the payer’s details need to be updated, please notify the editorial office by email.
APC Waivers
APC waivers beyond the country-based programme described above may be granted at the sole discretion of the publisher. AccScience Publishing will consider such requests on a case-by-case basis. Waiver decisions are handled independently of the editorial process and do not influence acceptance outcomes.
Waiver requests should be submitted to the editorial office at the time of manuscript submission. Authors are strongly advised to secure sufficient funding to cover the APC before submitting, as waivers are granted only in exceptional circumstances.
APC Refund Policy
AccScience Publishing will issue a full refund of the paid APC if an article fails to be published due to a publisher error. Where the article has been published with an error, a refund will be issued only if the publisher is unable to correct that error within 30 days of the publication date.
If an error requiring urgent attention is identified, please contact the editorial office promptly at editorial@accscience.com.
APCs will not be refunded if articles are retracted due to author error or misconduct.
If a submission is withdrawn on grounds deemed unreasonable by the publisher, a withdrawal fee of 30% of the prevailing APC will be charged. The following are considered unreasonable grounds for withdrawal:
- Unawareness of, or unwillingness to pay, the APC following manuscript acceptance.Authors are expected to review all applicable publication fees before submitting. Proceeding through the editorial process without the intention of paying the APC upon acceptance is considered a breach of publishing ethics.
- Unwillingness to make all relevant research data or findings available.Authors are responsible for confirming, prior to submission, that the data and findings in their manuscript are appropriate for the chosen journal. AccScience Publishing expects full transparency in data reporting; authors should present all findings necessary for rigorous scientific interpretation.
- Desire to submit to a different journal after acceptance.Authors are responsible for selecting an appropriate journal before submitting. Submission implies that the authors regard the journal as a suitable venue for their work.
Editorial Independence
In accordance with COPE guidelines, editorial decisions at AccScience Publishing are made solely on the basis of academic merit and are entirely independent of APC payment status. Editors are not involved in the administration or processing of APC payments, and authors’ ability or inability to pay does not influence manuscript acceptance. Authors experiencing genuine financial hardship are encouraged to contact the editorial office to discuss waiver options prior to submission.
