Three-dimensional (3D) printing is one of the fundamental technologies of Industry 4.0, causing a paradigm shift not only in the engineering industry but also in other areas of society such as medicine and dentistry. Extrusion, stereolithography, selective laser sintering, fused deposition modelling, digital light process, inkjet, and other technologies are used in the fabrication of personalized scaffolds and models for medical and dental applications. This special issue aims to summarize recent advances in the optimization and application of various 3D printing techniques, biomaterials and bioinks in order to explore the impact of 3D printing on health sector. We look forward to your submissions aimed at the enhancement of this fascinating field.
In particular, the topics of interest include, but are not limited to:
• 3D printing of customized scaffolds/implants
• 3D printing & bioprinting for tissue engineering and regenerative medicine & dentistry
• Drug printing
• NextGen Bioinks
• 3D printed in-vitro models
• Biomedical devices
