Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) has long been esteemed for its holistic approach to healing, and its application in the treatment of neuropsychological diseases is an increasingly captivating area of study. Through the integration of biofeedback techniques and the targeting of molecular pathways, TCM presents a promising avenue for the development of innovative therapeutic approaches within the realm of neuropsychological disorders. This introduction serves as a prelude to a comprehensive exploration of the incorporation of TCM into the treatment of conditions such as Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson's disease, and depression. By examining TCM through the dual lenses of molecular pathways and biofeedback, this investigation aims to elucidate the potential of TCM in forging pioneering and efficacious therapeutic strategies in the sphere of neuropsychological diseases. In light of the burgeoning interest and potential of TCM, we propose a special issue in Gene & Protein in Disease dedicated to delving into the latest advancements in this research area. This special issue will provide a platform for researchers to disseminate their findings on the efficacy and mechanisms of action of TCM in modulating neuroinflammation. Additionally, it will foster discussions on optimizing TCM-based therapeutic approaches and identifying potential synergies with Western medicine.

The aim of the special issue is to explore the potential of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) in neuropsychological diseases, particularly through the integration of biofeedback techniques and the targeting of molecular pathways, and to provide a platform for researchers to disseminate their findings on the efficacy and mechanisms of action of TCM in modulating neuroinflammation, aligning with the journal's scope.

This Special Issue will welcome manuscripts that link the following themes:

  • Efficacy of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) in Neuroinflammation
  • Mechanisms of Action through which TCM modulates neuroinflammation.
  • Synergistic Effects of TCM and Western Medicine
  • Exploring the potential for integrating biofeedback into combined treatment approaches
  • Clinical Applications and Translational Research
  • We look forward to receiving your original research articles and reviews.
