Design+ is pleased to announce the launch of a recruitment call for Youth Editorial Board Members (YEBMs). This initiative is designed to support the development of early-career researchers and to strengthen the journal's international editorial network by engaging dynamic young scholars across interdisciplinary design research.
As a journal dedicated to exploring the convergence of design, art, technology, business, users, and culture, with a strong emphasis on sustainable development in creative industries and social systems, Design+ welcomes applications from candidates working in the following key research areas:
- Design and creative innovation
- Artificial intelligence in design and creative industries
- Digital art, media, and visual communication
- Human-centered and user experience design
- Design thinking and innovation systems
- Sustainable design, materials, and circular economy
- Smart cities, urban design, and infrastructure systems
- Interdisciplinary design integrating technology, society, and culture
Requirements for Youth EBMs:
- A Ph.D. degree (or equivalent doctoral qualification) in a relevant field
- Active research engagement within the scope of Design+
- Prior peer-review experience for international academic journals is preferred
- Strong interest in academic publishing and scholarly communication
- Willingness to actively contribute to the journal through manuscript review, submission support, and journal promotion
Responsibilities:
Youth EBMs are expected to contribute to the journal in the following ways:
- Assisting with peer review of submitted manuscripts
- Encouraging high-quality submissions within their academic and professional networks
- Supporting the promotion and visibility of Design+ in relevant research communities
- Contributing ideas for special issues and emerging research themes
- Engaging with the editorial team to strengthen the journal’s academic impact and global reach
Term of Appointment:
- Two-year term, renewable based on performance and journal needs
Selection Process:
- Submission of CV and application materials
- Initial screening by the Editorial Office
- Review and approval by the Editor-in-Chief or Associate Editors
- Official appointment and issuance of confirmation letter
