On July 18, 2026, the First International Academic Exchange Conference on Psychosomatic Medicine and the Editorial Board Meeting of the JCBP were successfully held in Zhengzhou, Henan Province. Organized by the International Academic Exchange Working Committee of the China International Association for Promotion of Science and Technology, the conference brought together editorial board members, experts, and young scholars from various universities and research institutions across the country, both online and offline, to discuss the development of the journal and the academic frontiers in the field of psychosomatic medicine.
Professor Yonggui Yuan, the Editor-in-Chief, delivered a speech expressing his warm welcome and sincere gratitude to all the editorial board members and young editorial board members attending the meeting. Professor Yuan introduced the original intention of convening this editorial board meeting—to foster consensus and gather wisdom through face-to-face communication, jointly cultivating the academic characteristics and international influence of the Journal of Clinical and Basic Psychosomatics. He emphasized that the journal's development relies on the active participation of the editorial board members and hoped that all members, both veteran and young, would continue to provide sustained support in areas such as topic selection and planning, recommendation of high-quality manuscripts, and academic dissemination.
At the conference venue, Professor Yuan presented appointment certificates to the attending young editorial board members, expressing his heartfelt gratitude for their academic contributions and long-term support to the journal's development. After the award ceremony, all the attending editorial board members and young editorial board members took a group photo to commemorate this memorable moment.
Several editorial board members and youth editorial board members delivered special reports, sharing their latest research findings. The topics covered seven areas: Innovations and Developments in Chinese Psychosomatic Medicine Research, Intelligent Research on Psychosomatic Interaction, New Approaches to the Diagnosis and Treatment of Female Psychosomatic Disorders, Utilizing Genetic Methods to Study the Molecular Basis of Psychosomatic Interaction, Shared Brain Imaging Research on Psychosomatic Disorders and Depression, Research on the Mechanisms of Cognitive Impairment in Schizophrenia Based on Multi-omics Integration Strategies, and Mechanisms and Intervention Research on the Effects of Stress on Cardiovascular and Cerebrovascular Diseases. These reports facilitated the exchange and collision of academic ideas.

The participating editorial board members unanimously agreed that a trinity strategy involving institutional construction, precise topic selection, and efficient promotion should be adopted to accelerate the internationalization process of the Journal of Clinical and Basic Psychosomatics, improve manuscript quality and academic influence, and facilitate its early inclusion in mainstream databases (Scopus, Web of Science).
The successful convening of this editorial board meeting and academic exchange conference has further solidified academic consensus, clarified development goals, and laid a solid foundation for the internationalization of JCBP.
