Prof. Dr. Ramazan Yaman is a professor in the Department of Industrial Engineering at Istanbul Atlas University. He holds extensive academic and administrative experience, having served as Dean, Department Head, and Board Member at several Turkish universities. His research focuses on production planning, facility layout, and system optimization, and he has taught a wide range of courses from manufacturing processes to decision-making. Prof. Yaman has also engaged in various industry consulting projects with engineering firms, bridging academia and practice. He previously held academic positions at Balikesir University, McMaster University (Canada), and Eastern Mediterranean University.

Profile:

Dr. Ibrahim Kucukkoc is a Professor in the Industrial Engineering department at Balikesir University (Turkey) where he has been a faculty member since December 2009. He completed his Ph.D. at the University of Exeter (UK) in 2015 upon completing his thesis on modelling and optimisation of complex assembly lines (funded by a 4-year scholarship from Turkish Council of Higher Education).

His research interests lie in the area of modelling and optimisation of modern manufacturing systems (assembly line balancing in particular), production planning of additive manufacturing machines and application of modern algorithms on sophisticated combinatorial optimisation problems. He has collaborated actively with researchers in several other disciplines, such as computer science and mechanical engineering. His publications appeared in various esteemed journals including European Journal of Operational Research, Computers & Operations Research, International Journal of Production Economics, International Journal of Production Research, Computers & Industrial Engineering and Production Planning & Control. His research has been cited more than 900 times (based on Scopus metrics) by national and international scholars.

Prof. Necati Özdemir received the bachelor’s degree from Marmara University, in 1992, the M.Sc. degree from the University of Warwick, in 1997, and the Ph.D. degree from the University of Exeter, in 2000. From 2011 to 2013, he was the Head of the Ivrindi Health Services Vocational School. He is currently a Professor with the Mathematics Department, Balikesir University, where he has been a Faculty Member, since 2001. He is also the Director of the Graduate School of Natural Sciences. His research interests include control theory and applications, optimization theory, fractional calculus and applications, financial mathematics, biological model, and numerical methods, ranging from theory to design to implementation. He has collaborated actively with researchers in several other disciplines. He has served on several conference and workshop program committees and served as the Co-Chair for the ICAME 2018. Prof. Ravi P. Agarwal, born on July 10, 1947, is a distinguished Indian mathematician and Ph.D. in Sciences. He currently serves as Professor and Chairman of the Department of Mathematics at Texas A&M University–Kingsville, USA. Previously, he was a professor at Florida Institute of Technology. Prof. Agarwal has authored over 1000 scientific papers and more than 30 influential monographs in differential equations, fixed point theory, and applied analysis. His research contributions span boundary value problems, oscillation theory, and inequalities. He holds editorial leadership in several prestigious journals, including Journal of Inequalities and Applications, Advances in Difference Equations, and Boundary Value Problems. As one of the most prolific mathematicians of his generation, Prof. Agarwal’s work has profoundly impacted the global mathematical community.

Dr. Mohammad Pourmahmood Aghababa (Member, IEEE) was born in Tabriz, Iran, in 1983. He received the Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering (major control engineering) from the University of Tabriz, Tabriz, Iran, in 2011.,He is currently a Professor with the Urmia University of Technology, Urmia, Iran, and a Researcher with the University of Windsor, Windsor, ON, Canada. Before joining the University of Windsor, he was a Researcher with the École Centrale de Nantes, Nantes, France. He has authored or coauthored over 90 international ISI-JCR journal articles. He has also authored a book entitled “Advanced Nonlinear Control Systems: Theory, Design and Applications” (in Persian). Prof Abdon Atangana is a leading applied Mathematics professor at the UFS. He obtained his honours and master’s degrees from the Department of Applied Mathematics at the UFS with distinction. He obtained his PhD degree in applied mathematics from the Institute for Groundwater Studies.

He serves as an editor for 18 international journals and is also a reviewer of more than 200 international accredited journals and has been awarded the world champion of peer review twice, in 2016 and 2017. He also serves on more than 20 editorial boards of applied mathematics and mathematics. He has presented and participated in more than 20 international conferences and has been invited as plenary speaker in more than 10 international conferences of applied mathematics and mathematics. His research interests are methods and applications of partial and ordinary differential equations, fractional differential equations, perturbation methods, asymptotic methods, iterative methods, and groundwater modelling.

Prof Atangana is the founder of the fractional calculus with non-local and non-singular kernels popular in applied mathematics today. Since 2013 he has published in 165 international accredited journals of applied mathematics, applied physics, geo-hydrology and bio-mathematics. He is also the single author of two books in Academic Press Elsevier.

Prof. Fatma Ayaz received her B.Sc. in Mathematics from Balıkesir Necatibey Education Faculty in 1984, followed by an M.Sc. in Energy Engineering from Ege University in 1989. She earned her Ph.D. in Mathematics from the University of Leeds, UK, in 1995, with a focus on fluid mechanics in microscopic filter feeding. Throughout her academic career, she has specialized in mathematical modeling, fractional differential equations, and numerical analysis with applications in engineering, physics, and biomedical sciences. She currently serves as a full professor at Gazi University, where she has supervised numerous master's and doctoral theses. Prof. Ayaz has published more than 30 peer-reviewed articles indexed in SCI and Scopus, with over 700 citations and an h-index of 9. She is a member of the editorial board of IJOCTA and actively contributes to international conferences and academic collaborations. Her work is driven by a strong interest in bridging theoretical mathematics with real-world interdisciplinary problems.

Dr. Dumitru Baleanu is a professor of mathematics in the Computer Science and Mathematics Department.

Dr. Baleanu is a pioneer of the fractional variational principles and their applications in control theory. Besides, he is one of the co-authors of the seminal paper entitled “Anomalous diffusion expressed through fractional order differential operators in the Bloch-Torrey equation”, published by the Journal of Magnetic Resonance in 2008, which plays a fundamental role in diffusion-weighted MRI.

Dr. Baleanu is a co-author of more than 25 books published by Springer, Elsevier and World Scientific. His H index is 99. He is also a fellow of the African Academy of Sciences.

Dr. Baleanu has supervised to successful completion of three PhD and 13 Master’s students at the University of Guelma, Algeria, University of Mazandaran, Iran and Çankaya University, Turkey.

He received the BS (1989) and MS (1993) in Econo-mathematics and PhD (1995) from University Ulm, Germany, and MS (1992) in Applied Mathematics from San Diego State University. He was a Postdoc, sponsored by the Alexander von Humboldt-Foundation, at National University of Singapore (1997) and at San Diego State University (1998). Martin Bohner is a Past President of ISDE, the International Society of Difference Equations. His research interests center around differential, difference, and dynamic equations as well as their applications to economics, finance, biology, physics, and engineering. He is the author of seven textbooks and more than 350 publications, Editor-in-Chief of three international journals, and Associate Editor for almost 100 international journals. Dr. Liming Dai is a Professor of Industrial Systems Engineering at the University of Regina in Saskatchewan, Canada. He received his academic training in mechanical and industrial engineering, and his research spans a wide range of interdisciplinary topics, including nonlinear dynamics, enhanced oil recovery (EOR) using seismic wave and vibration stimulation, acoustic engineering, fatigue analysis, mechanical design optimization, and advanced computational simulation methods.

Dr. Dai is widely recognized for his contributions to the study of vibration phenomena in mechanical systems, multiphase fluid behavior in porous media, and dynamic fatigue in vehicle structures. He has led numerous industry- and government-supported research projects, including those in collaboration with the Petroleum Technology Research Centre and NSERC. His recent projects also explore traffic noise reduction, dynamic responses of sports equipment, and ERP systems for SMEs. Dr. Dai has published extensively in top-tier journals, contributing significantly to the fields of mechanical and industrial systems engineering.

Daria Battini is Full Professor of Industrial Systems and Logistics at the University of Padua since 2018. She helds a PhD in Industrial Engineering and she graduated cum laude at the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia.
She is the coordinator of the European Project MAIA, H2020-RISE-MSCA (www.maiaproject.eu) and Spoke Coordinator in the project MICS (Made in Italy Circolare e Sostenibile, https://www.mics.tech/).
She teaches and conducts research in the field of industrial system design and management: in particular flexible assembly systems design, logistic systems mapping, modeling and optimization with particular attention to ergonomics in material handling and in assembly, the inventory management and product/process traceability, industry 5.0 and systems resilience.
Her researches are published in several international journals, international conference proceedings, trade magazines, industry reports and newspapers. She published more than 150 scientific papers, published in International ISI journals or in proceeding of International conferences Peer Reviewed. She is associate editor of the International Journal of Production Economics and editorial board member of relevant journals as the Int. Journal of Production Research, the Journal of Management Control, the International Journal of Optimization and Control: Theories & Applications and the Int. Journal of Integrated Supply Management.
Since 2007 she started researches on Simulation Game and Learning Game design and in collaboration with other colleagues of the University of Padua, she developed the Logistc Game™, a new simulation game for learning by doing and knowledge sharing. The Logistic Game has been registered as a EU community trade mark from the University of Padova in 2009.

At the University of Padua she is Professor of Material Flow Systems and Logistics Networks in the MSc in Industrial Engineering . Daria also teaches Industrial Logistics in the MSc in Mechanical Engineering and she is the responsible of the ERASMUS agreement between Padova University and the DTU (Denmark) and between Padova University and the Berlin School of Economics and Law. She is a member of IFAC, EUROMA and AIDI and an expert member in ISO (International Organization for Standardization) and UNI (Ente Italiano di Normazione). Paulo Davim is a Full Professor (Professor Catedrático) at the Department of Mechanical Engineering, University of Aveiro, Portugal, where he leads the Machining & Tribology Research Group and is a member of TEMA and LASI. Dr. Metin Demirtas was born in Mus, Turkey. Dr. Burcu Gürbüz is a postdoctoral research associate in the Applied Analysis group at the Institute of Mathematics, Johannes Gutenberg-University Mainz, where she works under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Alan D. Rendall. She earned her Ph.D. in Applied Mathematics and specializes in dynamical systems, differential equations, mathematical biology, qualitative analysis, and numerical methods.

Dr. Gürbüz has held academic and research positions across Europe, including assistant professorships at Üsküdar University and Ege University in Turkey, as well as visiting roles at the University of Nantes in France and the University of Minho in Portugal. In 2024, she was a visiting researcher at the Basque Center for Applied Mathematics (BCAM) in Spain, and she is scheduled for further research stays in 2025 at New York University’s Courant Institute, the University of Tennessee, and Virginia Tech in the United States.

As a principal investigator on several interdisciplinary projects, Dr. Gürbüz actively collaborates with international research groups. Her scholarly activities bridge rigorous mathematical theory with practical challenges in biology and physics.
