Alongside this remarkable increase, IJOCTA’s ranking in the Applied Mathematics category has risen dramatically, moving from 70th to 20th place among journals in the field. This outstanding progress reflects the journal’s growing recognition and expanding impact within the international applied mathematics community.

An International Journal of Optimization and Control: Theories & Applications (IJOCTA) is pleased to announce the release of the 2025 CiteScore metrics by Elsevier. According to the latest data, IJOCTA has achieved a CiteScore of 3.8, an increase from 3.7 in the previous year. This achievement marks another important milestone in the journal’s continued growth and international recognition. Notably, IJOCTA has advanced from Q2 to Q1 in the Optimization and Control category, reflecting the journal’s increasing academic influence and visibility within the global research community.

IJOCTA has continued to strengthen its academic reputation and global visibility. The journal achieved its latest Impact Factor of 1.9, reflecting its growing influence within the research community. In the ESCI Applied Mathematics category, IJOCTA now ranks steadily in Q1, demonstrating its strong performance and recognition among international journals in optimization, control, and applied mathematics.

IJOCTA moved to the ACC Science Publishing platform starting from Vol. 15, Issue 1 (January 2025). This move promises further advancements in digital accessibility and publishing infrastructure.

IJOCTA received its first Impact Factor of 1.6 based on Clarivate's Journal Citation Reports™ (2022). This achievement marked a major milestone in the journal’s development and academic recognition.

The journal switched to a quarterly publication schedule (in January, April, July, and October) as of 2024, reflecting the increasing submission volume and the journal’s evolving prominence in its field.

The journal was accepted for indexing in Clarivate Analytics’ Web of Science Core Collection™ – Emerging Sources Citation Index (ESCI), as of 2020.
