The 37th Live Lecture of JCBP: Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine Treatment for Female Depression

The Journal of Clinical and Basic Psychosomatics will hold this live lecture titled "Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine Treatment for Female Depression" on Tencent Meeting platform at 20:00 on January 27, 2026 (GMT+08:00).

Hormonal fluctuations in women during puberty, menstruation, pregnancy, and menopause can influence the onset of depression. Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) recognized over 2000 years ago that the etiology and pathogenesis of psychosomatic diseases lie in emotional factors, emphasizing the importance of disturbances in the flow of qi. It is believed that emotional stimuli can lead to an imbalance in the yin and yang, as well as the qi and blood, of the internal organs. The combined treatment of female depression with antidepressant medications and Chinese patent medicines that have the effect of soothing the liver and regulating qi has demonstrated reliable efficacy and good tolerability.

We are honored to have invited Dr. Ce Chen, the Deputy Chief Physician and Director of the Department of Psychiatry at the Second Affiliated Hospital of Xi'an Jiaotong University, as the keynote speaker for this conference. Professor Feng Tian, Chief Physician and Doctoral Supervisor from the Second Hospital of Shanxi Medical University, will serve as the moderator. We sincerely welcome scholars from all fields to actively participate in this academic live lecture.
