The 40th Live Lecture of JCBP: Advantages and Prospects of the Application of Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine in the Diagnosis and Treatment of Patients with Insomnia Complicated by Depression
The Journal of Clinical and Basic Psychosomatics will hold this live lecture titled "Advantages and Prospects of the Application of Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine in the Diagnosis and Treatment of Patients with Insomnia Complicated by Depression" on Tencent Meeting platform at 20:00 on March 18, 2026 (GMT+08:00).
In the clinical diagnosis and treatment of cerebrovascular diseases, insomnia and depressive disorders are like a pair of concealed "comorbid ghosts," not only severely affecting patients' neurological recovery but also serving as independent risk factors for cardiovascular and cerebrovascular events. Facing this complex brain network disorder, we will explore, from the perspective of integrated medicine focusing on "brain disorders, emotions, and holistic health," how to integrate the traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) theory of "unity of body and spirit" with modern sleep medicine and psychopathology.
With the advancement of brain science research, the integration of traditional Chinese and Western medicine in diagnosis and treatment is no longer a simple superposition of techniques but rather an evidence-based fusion grounded in multi-omics technologies. Let us jointly explore how to leverage Eastern wisdom to enhance patients' quality of life and lead a new direction in rehabilitation treatment for cerebrovascular diseases, providing safer and more enduring solutions for psychological comorbidities associated with cerebrovascular diseases.
We are honored to have invited Professor Jianjun Ma, the Vice President of Henan Cerebrovascular Disease Hospital, the Director of the Department of Neurology Teaching and Research Section at Henan Provincial People's Hospital, the Director of the Neurology Standardized Training Base, a Chief Physician, a Master's Supervisor, and the Director of the Zhengzhou Key Laboratory for Precision Diagnosis and Treatment of Parkinson's Disease, as the keynote speaker for this conference. Professor Meiying Deng, the Chief Physician of the Department of Neurology at the First Affiliated Hospital of Xi'an Jiaotong University, will serve as the moderator. We sincerely welcome scholars from all fields to actively participate in this academic live lecture.
