This special issue explores the dynamic relationship between Mathematics Education and the Arts, highlighting how artistic approaches can enrich mathematical understanding and how mathematical concepts inspire creative expression. Integrating artistic perspectives into mathematics teaching fosters abilities like creativity, critical thinking, and problem-solving, offering students innovative ways to engage with abstract concepts, in particular, through visual and performative arts. This intersection encourages learners to explore patterns, symmetry, geometry, and mathematical reasoning in meaningful and creative contexts. Despite the growing interest in connecting mathematics and the arts, further research is needed to understand how these fields can effectively collaborate to enhance teaching practices, curriculum development, task design, and student engagement. We welcome original research papers—conceptual, methodological, or empirical—that investigate innovative approaches to integrate the arts into mathematics education across all educational levels. Submissions should offer fresh insights into how artistic practices can support deeper mathematical learning and inspire creative educational experiences.
