Special Issue Information

This special issue focuses on exploring the core role of Art and Design as a discipline in architectural design. It provides a comprehensive analysis from perspectives on philosophy, art, and science. Art and design are not only aesthetic expressions but also interdisciplinary practices in architecture that integrate philosophical thinking about space, form, and function, as well as creative practices expressed through colour, form, and material. Scientificity ensures the feasibility and technical support of the design, including building materials, structural engineering, and environmental technology. This special issue aims to reveal how art and design promote innovation and development in architectural design through philosophical speculation, artistic expression, and scientific technology.
