Founded in 2017, Shaanxi Association of Orthopedics & Arthrosis (SAOA) is a provincial‑level non‑profit academic society supervised by the Shaanxi Association for Science and Technology and registered with the Department of Civil Affairs of Shaanxi Province, China. Its membership consists of clinicians, scientific researchers and interdisciplinary specialists engaged in orthopaedics, joint surgery, spine surgery, sports medicine, trauma orthopaedics, bone oncology, bone regenerative biomaterials and medico‑engineering research across Shaanxi Province. Multiple specialized branches have been established, covering sports medicine, joint disorders, bone tumour, enhanced recovery after surgery and other sub‑specialties.
Rooted in Northwest China, SAOA builds a high‑level academic exchange platform for orthopaedic practitioners. It organizes annual conferences, thematic symposia and continuing medical education courses, promotes grassroots technical popularization, public science outreach and clinical translational research. Guangdong Precision Medicine Application Association
Institution Overview：
The Guangdong Precision Medicine Application Association was established on February 28, 2017, with approval from the Guangdong Provincial Department of Civil Affairs, becoming China‘s first provincial-level professional society dedicated to precision medicine. The Association is currently led by President Hou Fanfan, an Academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and Director of the Department of Nephrology at Nanfang Hospital, Southern Medical University, with Sun Binggang serving as Legal Representative. Guided by its mission to “build platforms, take action, and pursue dreams,” the Association is committed to creating a collaborative platform that connects healthcare, life sciences, biopharmaceuticals, big data, policy research, and financial investment to advance precision medicine research and clinical application.
The Association serves as the lead unit of the Guangdong Precision Medicine Industry Technology Innovation Alliance, approved by the Guangdong Provincial Department of Science and Technology, and hosts the Guangdong Clinical Gene Testing Quality Control Center. Over the years, it has established over one hundred branches covering both disease-specific and technology-support categories, bringing together more than 20,000 individual members and over 100 institutional members to form an integrated innovation ecosystem spanning government, industry, academia, research, application, and finance. Recognized as a 5A-level provincial social organization by the Guangdong Provincial Department of Civil Affairs and a five-star society by the Guangdong Provincial Association for Science and Technology, the Association holds significant influence in the field of precision medicine.
