2026 Editorial Board Meeting of Orthopedics and Tissue Engineering (OTE) Successfully Held

On March 22, 2026, the 2026 Editorial Board Meeting of Orthopedics and Tissue Engineering (OTE) was successfully convened in Hefei, Anhui Province, China. The meeting gathered the journal’s Editor-in-Chiefs, Executive Editors, Associate Editors, and parts of all distinguished editorial board experts from both China and overseas, both in-person and virtually, to review the journal’s progress, discuss strategic development, and plan future initiatives.
 
The Editor-in-Chief, Prof. Jian Wang and Prof. Nikolaos Kourkoumelis, opened the session by expressing sincere gratitude to all editorial board members for their continued dedication, expertise, and invaluable support. They also elaborated on the core objectives and great significance of this meeting.
Subsequently, all experts engaged in enthusiastic discussions on the overall development plan of OTE. Combining their professional academic experience and the latest industry trends, they put forward targeted and feasible suggestions from multiple dimensions. In-depth exchanges and unanimous consensus were reached on key priorities, including optimizing the journal’s academic positioning, expanding high-quality manuscript sources, upgrading the peer review process, enhancing global academic influence, and strengthening international academic cooperation.
Through thorough deliberations, the meeting finally confirmed the core development goals, as well as the key tasks and detailed implementation paths for 2026, drawing a clear blueprint for the journal’s high-quality sustainable development.
 
Looking ahead,  Orthopedics and Tissue Engineering (OTE) will adhere to the development principles of specialization, featured orientation and internationalization. The journal will strictly uphold academic quality as the top priority, focus on cutting-edge research hotspots and core scientific issues in orthopedics and tissue engineering, and build an academic brand with core competitiveness. We strive to achieve leapfrog growth in academic influence and professional recognition in the coming years.
