
Wuhan University of Science and Technology (WUST) is a local high-level university jointly established by the People's Government of Hubei Province and the Ministry of Education of the People’s Republic of China, and a key university for Hubei’s Double First-Class Initiative.
Dating back to Hubeigongyi Xuetang, founded in 1898, WUST is renowned as the cradle of high-level metallurgical talents in China. Centered on engineering, it integrates science, medicine, management, and humanities. Nine of its disciplines rank among the global ESI top 1%. The university boasts solid disciplinary foundations in metallurgy, materials and mechanical engineering, and carries out research in additive manufacturing.
WUST provides complete undergraduate, master’s and doctoral programmes. It hosts a number of national and provincial research platforms to support scientific innovation. The university has built academic exchange partnerships with over 100 universities and research institutions worldwide and actively conducts international academic collaborations.
