The 30th Live Lecture of JCBP: Early Identification and Diagnosis and Treatment Specifications of Cognitive Impairment in the Elderly

The Journal of Clinical and Basic Psychosomatics will hold this live lecture titled "Early Identification and Diagnosis and Treatment Specifications of Cognitive Impairment in the Elderly" on Bilibili and WeChat Channels at 20:00 on June 27, 2025 (GMT+08:00).

Memory decline is a common problem encountered by the elderly and is also the earliest clinical manifestation of Alzheimer's disease (AD). If not detected and intervened promptly, it can gradually progress to severe cognitive impairments such as memory loss, getting lost when going out, loss of self-care ability, and abnormal mental behaviours. Alzheimer's disease is a neurodegenerative disease that predominantly affects the elderly population, with an overall increasing prevalence trend year by year, which increases with age. Early identification, precise diagnosis, and standardized treatment of AD symptoms are crucial for reducing the risk of dementia, improving the quality of life of the elderly population, and alleviating the economic burden on families and society.

We are honoured to invite Professor Ying Su, the director of the Talent Office of Union Hospital affiliated with Huazhong University of Science and Technology, chief physician of neurology, and graduate student mentor, to serve as the speaker for this conference.  Professor Yingjun Zheng, the director of the First Department of Adult Psychiatry at Guangzhou Psychiatric Hospital affiliated to Guangzhou Medical University, the director of the Clinical Psychopharmacology Teaching and Research Section of the Mental Health College of Guangzhou Medical University, doctoral student mentor, medical doctor, and chief physician, will serve as the host.  We sincerely welcome scholars to actively participate in this academic live lecture.
