The Journal of Clinical and Basic Psychosomatics will hold this live lecture titled "Diagnosis and Treatment of Depersonalization and Derealization Disorder" on Bilibili and WeChat Channels at 20:00 on October 31, 2024 (GMT+08:00).
Depersonalization/derealization disorder is characterized by feelings of unreality, detachment, or being an observer of one's thoughts, emotions, sensations, body, or actions, and unreal or detached experiences of the environment. It has a high incidence rate of 1-2%, low recognition rate, high misdiagnosis rate (often misdiagnosed as depression, anxiety, etc.), long delayed diagnosis rate (average delay of 3-7 years), low attention rate, and no definitive effective drug treatment. It severely affects patients' cognitive and social functions and deserves attention and importance from mental health professionals.
We are honored to have Professor Hongxiao Jia, chief physician and doctoral supervisor from Beijing Anding Hospital affiliated with Capital Medical University, as our speaker. And Professor Chengge Gao, first-level chief physician and master's supervisor from the Department of Psychiatry, the First Affiliated Hospital of Xi'an Jiaotong University, as our chairman.
