Call for Webinar Proposals: International Journal of Bioprinting
12 March 2025

In recent years, bioprinting has emerged as a transformative technology with significant potential in tissue engineering, regenerative medicine, and biomedical applications. As the field continues to advance, fostering collaboration and knowledge exchange among researchers, industry professionals, and academic institutions is essential. Webinars provide a dynamic platform for disseminating cutting-edge research, discussing emerging trends, and engaging with a global audience.

To further promote academic dialogue and innovation in bioprinting and advanced biomanufacturing, the International Journal of Bioprinting (IJB) invites scholars, researchers, and professionals to submit proposals for organizing webinars in collaboration with the journal. This initiative aims to facilitate high-quality academic discussions, enhance interdisciplinary collaborations, and provide a platform for experts to share their latest findings with the broader scientific community.

Webinar Themes

Proposals should align with the journal’s scope, including but not limited to:

  • Advanced bioprinting technologies (e.g., 3D/4D bioprinting, bioinks, hybrid manufacturing)
  • Applications in tissue engineering, regenerative medicine, drug development, and disease modeling
  • Innovations in biomaterials, computational modeling, or AI-driven bioprinting
  • Ethical, regulatory, or translational challenges in the field

Eligibility Criteria

  • Applicants must hold a PhD or equivalent professional experience in bioprinting or a related discipline.
  • Scholars, researchers, and professionals affiliated with universities, research institutions, or industry.
  • Demonstrated experience in organizing or delivering academic presentations.
  • Proposals may be submitted individually or by teams (e.g., cross-institutional collaborations).

Application Requirements

Applicants are required to submit the following information:

  1. Webinar Proposal: Title, abstract (300 words max.), key topics.
  2. Organizers and Speakers: Brief biographies (100 words max.) and institutional affiliations.
  3. Proposed Date and Duration: Preferred timeline and format.
  4. Technical Requirements: Any special requirements for hosting the webinar.

Benefits for Organizers

  • Increased visibility and recognition within the global bioprinting community.
  • Opportunity to showcase expertise and research to an international audience.
  • Support from IJB in webinar promotion, technical setup, and audience engagement.
  • Potential for post-webinar publication opportunities or special issue collaboration.
  • Networking with leading researchers, industry professionals, and academic institutions.

Application Process

Interested scholars should submit their proposals to ijb.office@accscience.sg. Submissions will be reviewed based on relevance, scientific merit, and feasibility. Successful applicants will receive support from IJB in webinar organization, promotion, and audience engagement.
