Editorial Process
Every Green Technology & Innovation (GT&I) submission undergoes a pre-screening process by the editors to ensure adherence to the journal’s scope, policies, and style before it proceeds to peer review. Authors may suggest up to 4 academically qualified reviewers for consideration with each submission. Authors should provide the reviewers' current contact details, including full name, email address, and affiliation, and state the reason(s) for their recommendation in the cover letter. However, while the editorial team strives to ensure a fair and unbiased peer review process, there is no guarantee that a recommended reviewer will be approached.
The Editor-in-Chief will decide which submissions should proceed to peer review and will assign reviewers, either from the editorial board or external experts, depending on the manuscript’s topic. The journal uses a double-blind peer review process. Based on the review reports and reviewers’ recommendations, the Editor-in-Chief will make one of the following decisions: accept, minor revision, major revision, or reject.
If minor revisions are required, authors should submit the revised manuscript, title page, cover letter, and response/rebuttal letter within 7 days. For major revisions, authors are given up to 30 days to prepare and submit the revision file. The revision will be pre-screened by the editor and may be reviewed again by the assigned reviewers.
The peer review process is considered complete once a submission is accepted for publication in GT&I. Only accepted papers proceed to copy-editing, typesetting, and proofreading before being published online.
