World Heart Day

World Heart Day was established by the World Heart Federation in 1999 and is held annually. The first World Heart Day was held on September 24, 2000, and the last Sunday of September has been World Heart Day since then. Since 2011, it has been changed to September 29 [1]. Its purpose is to promote knowledge about heart health worldwide and make the public realize that life requires a healthy heart. Heart disease is the number one killer threatening human life and health. In order to remind people to pay attention to it, the World Heart Federation has established "World Heart Day" once a year.
September 29, 2023 is the 24th World Heart Day
Around the world, cardiovascular disease has gradually become the "number one killer" threatening human health. Its harm is not limited by age, identity, or region. In order to arouse the public's attention to cardiovascular disease and its risk factors (hypertension, obesity, lack of exercise, nutritional imbalance, smoking, etc.), the eternal theme of World Heart Day is "Healthy Heart, Happy Life". Its purpose is to encourage people to change their static lifestyle into positive actions. It calls on people to abandon bad eating habits and bad habits so that everyone can have a healthy heart and everyone can enjoy a pleasant life.
The purpose of establishing "World Heart Day" is to arouse people's awareness of cardiovascular disease and its risk factors (lack of exercise, smoking, etc.); at the same time, as a means of preventing cardiovascular disease, it carries out propaganda activities to control risk factors. Its purpose is to encourage people to change their static lifestyle into positive actions, starting with exercise, and gradually carrying out actions to control the risk factors of heart disease.
