Following the journal’s long-term standardized operation, rigorous editorial governance and sustained academic improvement, under the overall leadership of EditorsinChief Professor Xu and Prof. Rudd, and with the full support of all editorial board members, Advanced Neurology has been officially accepted and indexed by EMBASE, the authoritative database operated by Elsevier.

This marks a critical milestone in the journal’s journey toward internationalization and standardization. It demonstrates that the journal’s academic quality, publishing standards and global influence have obtained authoritative recognition from the worldwide biomedical research community.

About EMBASE

EMBASE (Excerpta Medica Database) is Elsevier’s largest and most authoritative abstract database for biomedicine and pharmacology, as well as the world’s largest medicaldevice database. It also serves as a core academic retrieval platform acknowledged by the international medical community, boasting high recognition and credibility across the global research landscape.

Embase contains the full content of Medline. It covers 8,500 journals, plus over 2.95 million conference abstracts from more than 7,000 conferences dating back to 2009, among which 2,900 journals are not retrievable in Medline. It features extensive literature on diverse diseases and pharmaceuticals, with special emphasis on numerous medical publications from regions outside North America, notably Europe and Asia. This truly addresses biomedical researchers’ demand for comprehensive information resources.

Compared with ordinary databases, EMBASE adopts rigorous inclusion criteria that impose stringent requirements on journals in terms of academic quality, peerreview protocols, publication continuity and content innovation. Being successfully indexed by EMBASE fully demonstrates the comprehensive publishing capacity of Advanced Neurology (AN).
