Call for Early-Career Editorial Board Members (2026)

Advanced Neurology (AN) is a peer-reviewed, open-access journal dedicated to publishing high-quality research in neurology and neuroscience, with an expanding international reach and scholarly impact. 

To support the journal’s continued development and promote engagement with emerging scholars, the Editorial Office of Advanced Neurology is pleased to invite applications for Early-Career Editorial Board Members. This initiative aims to foster collaboration with early-career researchers who demonstrate strong research potential and enthusiasm for scholarly publishing.

Eligibility

Applicants should meet the following criteria:

  • A Ph.D. (or equivalent) in neurology, neuroscience, or a related discipline.
  • Demonstrated research activity and publication record appropriate to early career stage (e.g., publications in reputable international journals).
  • Interest in editorial work, peer review, and academic communication.
  • Prior peer-review experience is desirable but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

Members of the Early-Career Editorial Board are expected to:

  • Peer Review: Provide professional, constructive peer reviews of manuscripts, supporting the journal’s editorial standards.
  • Journal Engagement: Actively participate in discussions and initiatives to enhance the journal’s visibility and quality.
  • Scholarly Outreach: Support the journal through academic outreach, including at conferences and through professional networks, where appropriate.
  • Collaborative Input: Contribute ideas for thematic issues or editorial activities aligned with emerging developments in neurology and neuroscience.
