Advanced Neurology Launches Recruitment for the Second Youth Editorial Board

Advanced Neurology (AN) is a peer-reviewed, open-access journal dedicated to publishing and disseminating high-quality research in neurology and neuroscience. Since its launch in March 2022, AN has continued to grow steadily and expand its academic influence.

The journal is currently indexed in Scopus, CAS, Google Scholar, CNKI, Crossref, Scilit, Dimensions, Lens, J-Gate, ASCI, Gale, and EuroPub. In June 2025, AN received its first CiteScore of 0.8, marking an important milestone in the journal’s development.

To further enhance the journal’s global reach, academic impact, and editorial vitality, we are pleased to announce the recruitment of members for the Second Youth Editorial Board. We warmly invite outstanding early-career researchers with strong academic potential and enthusiasm for scholarly publishing to join us and contribute to the continued advancement of AN.

Recruitment Criteria

Applicants should meet the following requirements:

  1. A solid academic background with strong research capabilities, having published at least three papers as first or corresponding author in reputable international journals within the past three years.

  2. Under 40 years of age, holding a Ph.D. or an associate professorship (or higher).

  3. Strong interest in and good understanding of neurology or neuroscience.

  4. Willingness to actively participate in journal-related activities and contribute constructive suggestions for journal development.

  5. Prior experience as an editorial board member or peer reviewer for international journals is preferred.

Responsibilities

  1. Journal Promotion: Promote AN at international academic conferences and scholarly exchange events; Promote the journal via academic and social media platforms, including X, LinkedIn, Instagram, and WeChat.

  2. Peer Review: Provide high-quality, constructive peer reviews for at least three manuscripts per year, helping to maintain and improve the journal’s academic standards.

  3. Academic Contribution: Submit one high-quality research or review article during the term of appointment.

  4. Journal Development: Collaborate with the editorial team to propose special issues or thematic topics aligned with emerging research trends in neurology and neuroscience.

  6. Expedited review and priority handling for manuscripts submitted as first or corresponding author.

  7. Promotion of academic achievements, team news, or recruitment announcements through the journal’s official platforms.

  8. Outstanding Youth Editorial Board members may be promoted to the regular Editorial Board based on sustained contributions.
