Chair Prof. Felix Chan received his BSc Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Brighton University, UK, and obtained his MSc and PhD in Manufacturing Engineering from the Imperial College of Science and Technology, University of London, UK. Prior joining Macau University of Science and technology, Prof. Chan has many years of working experience in other universities including The Hong Kong Polytechnic University; University of Hong Kong; University of South Australia; University of Strathclyde. His current research interests are Logistics and Supply Chain Management, Operations Research, Production and Operations Management, Distribution Coordination, Decision Making, AI Optimisation. To date, Prof. Chan has published over 16 book chapters, over 470 SCI/SSCI refereed international journal papers and over 330 peer reviewed international conference papers. His total number of citations > 23,000, h Index= 75. Prof. Chan is a chartered member of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport in Hong Kong.  Furthermore, based on a recent research group of Stanford University about the impact of scientists (Top 2% listed), Prof. Chan has been ranked Top 2% worldwide, in 5 consecutive years (2020-2024).

Prof. Yavuz Gunalay received his B.Sc.  degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Middle East Technical University, Turkey, M.S. degree in Industrial Engineering from Bilkent University, Turkey and Ph.D. degree in Management Science and Information Systems from McMaster University, On. Canada. Prior joining Bahcesehir University, he has taught courses on Operation Management, Management Science and Supply Chain Management courses full-time or part-time in several universities including: McMaster University, Bilkent University, University of Northern Iowa, Hong Kong campus, University of New York on Tirana. His current research interests are Environmental Economics, Sustainability in Logistics, Supply Chain Design and Management, Optimization, and Stochastic Modeling.  Prof.  Gunalay has published more than 40 manuscripts in international peer-viewed journals. Prof. Dr. A. Zafer ACAR is a full professor, logistics expert, and strategic business consultant with over 20 years of logistics leadership experience in the Turkish Armed Forces, retiring at the rank of Colonel. Following his military career, he pursued academia, completing postgraduate studies in Business Administration at Gebze Technical University (GTU) and in Logistics and Production Strategies at Beykent University, and earning his PhD from GTU in 2008 with a dissertation on “The Role of Resource-Based Business Capabilities in Providing Competitive Advantage.”

Prof. Dr. ACAR’s research and teaching focus on strategic management, supply chain and logistics management, innovation management, organizational capabilities, and leadership. He has published numerous articles in internationally indexed journals, authored multiple books in logistics and supply chain management—including Storage and Warehouse Management, Supply Chain Management: A Logistics Approach, Warehouse and Distribution Centers Management, Information Systems & Contemporary Technologies in Supply Chains, Logistics Management, and Strategic Logistics Management—and presented papers at national and international conferences.

In parallel with his academic work, he actively collaborates with industrial associations, companies, and public institutions, contributing to strategic logistics planning and development initiatives. Notably, he participated in the Distinguished Specialization Commission for the Development of Logistics Services under the 10th and 11th Five-Year Development Plans and played a key role in moderating and editing the 2053 Strategic Logistics Plan under the supervision of the Ministry of Transportation.

He has delivered lectures at various European universities through the Erasmus program and served as a visiting professor in European universities. Currently, he serves as Dean of the Faculty of Applied Sciences at Istanbul Bilgi University, combining executive leadership, academic excellence, and hands-on logistics expertise.
