Abstract

With the increasing use of anesthesia in gastrointestinal endoscopy, it becomes important to closely evaluate patients’ post-anesthesia care and recovery status, as this period is associated with a heightened risk of adverse medical events. This paper presents a case study of a patient who experienced a fall following anesthesia for a gastrointestinal endoscopy. Understanding such incidents is crucial to implementing preventive measures to mitigate future occurrences. Looking ahead, the integration of intelligent technologies, such as artificial intelligence, could aid in monitoring and assessing post-anesthesia recovery status, thereby alleviating the burden on health-care providers and enhancing medical safety standards.
