Overview

Drug Translation & Evidence (DTE) is an international, peer-reviewed journal dedicated to advancing the discovery, development, evaluation, and evidence-based use of drugs and therapeutics. The journal aims to provide a platform for researchers, clinicians, pharmacologists, and healthcare professionals to share novel findings across basic and translational pharmacology, preclinical research, clinical studies, evidence synthesis, and therapeutic implementation. Its mission is to bridge the gap between drug discovery and clinical application, promote the generation and critical evaluation of reliable therapeutic evidence, and support informed decision-making to improve patient care and health outcomes.

The target audience of DTE includes pharmacologists, pharmaceutical scientists, clinical researchers, physicians, epidemiologists, evidence-based medicine specialists, health economists, and other professionals involved in drug development, clinical evaluation, and healthcare delivery.

The scope of DTE encompasses, but is not limited to, basic and translational pharmacology, drug discovery and development, preclinical evaluation, clinical trials, observational studies, pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics, drug safety and pharmacovigilance, comparative effectiveness research, systematic reviews and meta-analyses, evidence-based clinical practice guidelines, and the implementation of therapeutic evidence in clinical practice. The journal also welcomes methodological studies, health technology assessments, economic evaluations, consensus statements, and perspectives that contribute to the rigorous assessment and appropriate use of drugs and therapeutics. Particular emphasis is placed on research with clear translational relevance, robust methodological foundations, and practical implications for therapeutic decision-making and patient care.

In an evolving landscape of drug discovery, clinical development, and healthcare delivery, translating scientific discoveries into effective, safe, and accessible treatments remains a major challenge. Generating high-quality evidence, evaluating the benefits and risks of therapeutic interventions, and applying research findings in real-world clinical settings are essential to improving treatment outcomes. DTE seeks to address these challenges by fostering communication and collaboration among basic scientists, clinical investigators, evidence synthesis researchers, and healthcare professionals. The journal encourages research that connects laboratory discoveries with clinical applications, strengthens the evidence base for therapeutic interventions, and identifies effective approaches to optimizing drug use across diverse patient populations and healthcare settings.

DTE welcomes original research articles, systematic reviews and meta-analyses, methodological studies, clinical practice guidelines and consensus statements, health technology assessments, economic evaluations, authoritative reviews, and perspectives. Submissions should demonstrate scientific rigor, originality, and relevance to drug discovery, therapeutic evaluation, evidence generation, or clinical practice. By promoting interdisciplinary research and the responsible application of therapeutic evidence, the journal aims to contribute to the advancement of pharmacological science, the improvement of clinical decision-making, and the delivery of better patient-centered care.

The journal welcomes submissions from researchers and healthcare professionals worldwide who seek to contribute to the advancement of drug development and evidence-based therapeutics. Through the dissemination of high-quality research and clinically relevant evidence, DTE aspires to serve as a valuable resource for the scientific community and support the continued improvement of therapeutic strategies and patient outcomes.
