Dr. Harishchander Anandaram is an Assistant Professor (Senior Grade), School of Artificial Intelligence, Coimbatore. He completed his PhD in Bioengineering (2020), M.Tech. in Bioinformatics (2011), and B.Tech. in Bioinformatics (2009) from the Sathyabama Institute of Science and Technology, Chennai. His research includes analyzing resistance in HIV protease inhibitors through molecular mechanics and machine learning, and exploring pharmacogenomics and miRNA-regulated networks in psoriasis in collaboration with prestigious institutions like IIT Madras, Georgetown University, JIPMER, CIBA, and ILS.

Dr. Anandaram has published extensively in international journals on bioinformatics and systems biology. His work earned him the “Young Scientist Award” from The Melinda Gates Foundation for his research on miRNA dynamics in infectious diseases. He has reviewed over 200 manuscripts in systems biology and is currently focused on predicting novel lead molecules and biomarkers to target inflammatory pathways in infectious and autoimmune disorders using computational techniques.

Dr. Lei Chen is an Associate Researcher in the Department of Radiology, Union Hospital, Tongji Medical College, Huazhong University of Science and Technology. He holds a Doctoral degree in Medical Imaging and Nuclear Medicine. His professional expertise covers interventional diagnosis and treatment of liver cancer, low-dose radiation protection, and clinical application of artificial intelligence (AI). His research focuses on AI-based reduction of radiation exposure during interventional procedures, aiming to promote the clinical application of AI in interventional diagnosis and treatment and address the challenge of radiation-induced harm in such procedures.

Dr. Chen has presided over 2 provincial and ministerial-level research projects and holds 13 national invention patents. With extensive experience in interventional diagnosis and treatment of liver cancer and clinical application of AI, he serves as a reviewer for multiple international journals and remains committed to advancing high-quality clinical practice and scientific research innovation.

Prof. Zhengxing Huang

Profile:

Professor Zhengxing Huang is a Professor at the Zhejiang University Institute of Artificial Intelligence and a PhD supervisor. His research focuses on the intersection of clinical medicine, information science, and data science, particularly on transforming medical clinical decision-making paradigms. He develops intelligent clinical decision support methods that span from data to knowledge and from knowledge to actionable decisions.

Professor Huang has led multiple major projects, including three General Programs of the National Natural Science Foundation of China and two key R&D projects of the Ministry of Science and Technology. He has published over 60 papers in high-impact journals and conferences, including Nature Medicine and Science Advances, and his work has been cited by reviews, commentaries, and authoritative journals such as JACC and PNAS. He holds 15 authorized patents.

He serves as Executive Editor of Artificial Intelligence in Medicine and as Associate Editor or editorial board member for four other high-level journals, including npj Digital Medicine. He is also a council member of the Chinese Society for Chinese Information Processing and Vice Chair of its Medical Health and Bioinformatics Committee.

Dr. Hengrui Liu

Profile:

Hengrui Liu holds a PhD in Biochemistry from the University of Cambridge (UK). He previously worked at Stony Brook University Hospital (NY, US). He is currently a Research Associate at the Early Cancer Institute of the University of Cambridge and a Visiting Scientist at the CRUK Cambridge Institute. He is also Associate Editor of Pharmacology & Therapeutics and Managing Editor of the journal Cancer Genetics.

According to the Stanford-Elsevier list of World’s Top 2% Scientists, he ranks within the top 0.5–0.8% of scientists worldwide, and within the top 0.3% (928th out of 355,674 researchers) in the field of Oncology & Carcinogenesis. He has received multiple awards, including the Academic Progress Award by the Anesthesia and Cancer Laboratory (Stony Brook Medicine), the Cambridge Ion Channel Forum Poster Prize First Prize sponsored by AstraZeneca & Metrion Biosciences, the Chinese Government Award for Outstanding Self-financed Student Abroad, and the 2025 Charles Slater Fund from the University of Cambridge.

He has published a number of journal papers and edited three books in STEM areas, including Chinese Pharmacology, a textbook recommended by the Chinese government for nationwide Chinese Medicine higher education. He has been granted five national patents as the first inventor, three of which were transferred to companies for potential commercialization.

Prof. Yong Luo

Dr. Yong Luo received the B.E. degree in Computer Science from the Northwestern Polytechnical University, Xi’an, China, and the D.Sc. degree in the School of Electronics Engineering and Computer Science, Peking University, Beijing, China. He was a Research Fellow at the Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, and a Visiting Scholar at the University of Technology Sydney, Australia. He is currently a Professor with the School of Computer Science, Wuhan University, China. His research interests are primarily on machine learning and data mining with applications to visual information understanding and analysis. He has authored or co-authored over 100 papers in top journals and prestigious conferences including Nature Machine Intelligence, Nature Communications, IEEE T-PAMI and IJCV. He is serving on editorial board for IEEE T-MM and The Innovation Informatics. He received the IEEE Globecom 2016 Best Paper Award, and was nominated as the IJCAI 2017 Distinguished Best Paper Award. He is also a co-recipient of the IEEE TMM 2023, IEEE ICME 2019 and IEEE VCIP 2019 Best Paper Awards.

Prof. Bobin Mi

Dr. Bobin Mi is a Professor and Associate Chief Physician at Peking Union Medical College Hospital. He is a National High-Level Young Talent, Distinguished Huazhong Excellence Scholar, and a Hubei Chutian Scholar. He earned his PhD through joint training with Harvard Medical School and was a Visiting Scholar at Nanyang Technological University, Singapore.

His research focuses on basic and translational studies of bone and soft tissue injury repair. He has led two National Natural Science Foundation projects, received the Second Prize of the Chinese Medical Science and Technology Award (2023) and the First Prize of the Hubei Provincial Science and Technology Progress Award (2024), and holds over 20 authorized patents. He was listed among the World’s Top 2% Scientists in 2023 and 2024.
