The BMT & OR Campus Tour – Chongqing University Station and Young Scholars Forum on High-Quality Development of Organoids and Biomaterials was successfully held on January 14, 2025, at Chongqing University. Jointly organized by the editorial offices of Biomaterials Translational (BMT) and Organoid Research (OR), the event brought together leading scientists and young investigators to discuss recent advances in organoids, biomaterials, regenerative medicine, and translational research.
The opening ceremony featured remarks from Prof. Changsheng Liu, President of Chongqing University and Editor-in-Chief of BMT and OR, and Prof. Jiacan Su, Editor-in-Chief of OR and Executive Editor-in-Chief of BMT. During the event, Prof. Zhong Luo, Dean of the School of Life Sciences at Chongqing University, was appointed Director of the BMT & OR Editorial Office (Southwest Branch), and the Southwest Branch was officially inaugurated.
The forum included presentations from distinguished experts covering a wide range of topics, including blood purification materials, organoid engineering, vascularized organoids, extracellular matrix biomaterials, injectable hydrogels, extracellular vesicle therapeutics, collagen-based biomaterials, nanomedicine, cartilage organoids, AI-enabled organoid manufacturing, and radiation immunology.
The event highlighted the growing convergence of biomaterials, organoid technology, and translational medicine, providing an important platform for interdisciplinary exchange and collaboration. Through initiatives such as the Campus Tour series, BMT and OR remain committed to supporting scientific innovation, fostering young talent, and promoting the global dissemination of high-quality research.
