Abstract

Welcome to this issue of AJWEP. As one can see, this issue has a number of manuscripts from  different regions of the world including Nepal, Iraq, South Africa and Indonesia in addition to some  interesting modelling papers from top scientists. Hope you will have good reading.

The environmental problems of the world has no solutions so far in spite of repeated discussion by  different stakeholders over long periods. The current flooding happening in many parts of Northeast  India and as well as Bangladesh is a worrisome event since it might be climate change driven. How  do we move forward on this issue before the next round of flooding or droughts since water is most  sensitive to climate change and observations of rate of change in temperature as well as carbon  dioxide in atmosphere are a bit alarming for terrestrial existence. Maybe it is a clue that we may  have to learn to migrate to another world - may be Mars! Think about it - where are we headed for!
