Analysis of Some Characteristic Parameters of Potable Water and Treated Wastewater & Its Reuse
Physicochemical analysis of fresh potable water and treated wastewater collected from the sewage plant were carried out. The analysis of different parameters namely pH, electrical conductivity, TDS, hardness of water, Ca2+, Mg2+, total alkalinity, chloride, sulphates, NO2 – , fluoride, dissolved oxygen, phosphates, sodium and potassium ions were carried out as per the standard methods. The preliminary study aimed at utility of treated wastewater and how far it is extendable upto the proper usage for different purposes.
