International Polymer 3D Printing Materials Summit Forum 2024
07 November 2024

In the context of China's ongoing development of an autonomous industrial system, the additive manufacturing (3D printing) industry, fueled by strong collaboration between industry, academia, and research, is rapidly advancing toward industrialization and has successfully unlocked vast market potential. Notably, significant breakthroughs in the field of new materials and polymers have injected new vitality into 3D printing technology, markedly improving the performance and quality of printed products while substantially broadening their application areas. Although additive manufacturing still faces challenges in large-scale production compared to traditional manufacturing technologies, it has demonstrated immense potential in areas such as multi-product production, small batch manufacturing, and complex processing. This is particularly evident in industries like aerospace, medical equipment, and consumer goods, where its applications are becoming increasingly prevalent.

With the continuous progress of technology, printing technology is evolving towards structural functionalization and material diversification, playing an increasingly important role in high-end industrial manufacturing and the medical field.  To further exchange and showcase the concepts, designs, technologies, and application scenarios of new material additive manufacturing across various sectors, address existing industrial bottlenecks, solve industry challenges, meet contemporary needs, foster in-depth cooperation between industry, academia, research institutions, and practical applications, the International Polymer 3D Printing Materials Summit Forum 2024, hosted by Chinese Society of Materials Research polymer materials and engineering branch and co-organized by the State Key Laboratory of Polymer Materials Engineering of Sichuan University, the Fujian Functional Resin and Composite Materials Engineering Research Center, Data Technology, and AccScience Publishing is scheduled to be held on November 7-9 in Dongguan, Guangdong Province, China. Experts from research institutes and scholars and professionals from business circles in the field of additive manufacturing will be invited to engage in in-depth discussions and on-site interactions on the latest research developments, current application status, and challenges of materials and technologies in additive manufacturing.
