Special Issue Information

For many years, 3D Printing technologies have been widely used in the fields of engineering and healthcare. 4D Printing has also been developed to enable the printed structures to change their shapes in external stimulus. The single-material or multi-material printed device or object can be transformed from a 1D strand into a pre-programed 3D shape, from a 2D surface into a preprogramed 3D shape, or from a 3D shape into another 3D shape, and is capable of morphing between different dimensions. This special issue focuses on 3D/4D printing with smart materials and/or structures for biomedical applications. This special issue is dedicated to bringing together researchers with diverse research backgrounds into a common platform, contributing thoughts to this cutting-edge research topic, and accelerating the development of 3D/4D printing for biomedical applications.
